Using a top drive DQ50BQ-JH a new production oil well of more than 3520 meters depth was drilled in Khanty- Mansiysk Autonomous region

During 29 days a new horizontal oil well of more than 3520 meters depth was built on Kamennoye oil field in Khanty- Mansiysk Autonomous region. A drilling rig USPK-250 equipped with SLC-JH top drive DQ50BQ-JH was used to build this oil well. To achieve an optimal drilling speed an oil-base mud was used. A top drive field service support was provided by SLC service engineers working 24 hours 7 days a week with a drilling crew.

The DQ50BQ-JH as well as DQ50BQIII-JH and the DQ50B-JH is the most popular top drive among drilling companies.  This model is designed for use with up-to-date rotary steerable systems. It allows to build fishbone wells of up to 5000 meters depth (using drilling 144mm tubes) as quickly as possible. The top drive is equipped with an asynchronous frequency controlled electric motor of 600hp power. This allows drilling with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 180 rpm and with a working torque of up to 48 kNm.
