Using a top drive DQ50B-JH a new production oil well of more than 3910 meters depth was drilled in Yamal-Nenetsk Autonomous Region

A new horizontal production oil well of more than 3910 meters depth was built in Yamal-Nenetsk Autonomous Region. A drilling rig Uralmash 3900/225 EK equipped with a top drive DQ50B-JH was used for building this well. A top drive field service support was provided by SLC service engineers working 24 hours 7 days a week according to service contract with a drilling company.

The DQ50B-JH as well as the DQ50BQ-JH and the DQ50BQIII-JH is the most popular SLC-JH top drive model among drilling companies.  It allows to build fishbone wells of up to 5000 meters depth (using drilling 144mm tubes) as quickly as possible. The top drive is equipped with an asynchronous frequency controlled electric motor of 500hp power. This allows drilling with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 180 rpm and with a working torque of up to 40 kNm.
