Using a top drive DQ50BQIII-JH a new production oil well of more than 3740 meters depth was drilled in Khanty- Mansiysk Autonomous region

During 14 days a new controlled directional oil well of more than 3740 meters depth was built on Priobskoe oilfield in Khanty- Mansiysk Autonomous region. A drilling rig 4500/270 EK-BMCH equipped with a state-of-the-art top drive DQ50BQIII-JH was used by RN-Burenie professionals to build this oil well. To achieve an optimal drilling speed an oil-base mud was used. A top drive field service support was provided by SLC service engineers working 24 hours 7 days a week with a drilling crew under service agreement with RN-Burenie company.

The DQ50BQIII-JH as well as DQ50BQ-JH and the DQ50B-JH is the most popular top drive among drilling companies.  This model is designed for use with up-to-date rotary steerable systems. It allows to build fishbone wells of up to 5000 meters depth (using drilling 144mm tubes) as quickly as possible. The top drive is equipped with an asynchronous frequency controlled electric motor of 1080hp power. This allows drilling with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 220 rpm and with a working torque of up to 68 kNm.
