A new production oil well of more than 1860 meters depth was built for Bashneft company

A new controlled directional production oil well of more than 1860 meters depth was built on Abdulovskoye oil field in Bashkortostan for Bashneft company. A drilling rig 2900/175 DEP equipped with a top drive DQ40B-JH was used for this purpose. A top drive field service support was provided by SLC service engineers working 24 hours 7 days a week with a drilling crew.

The DQ40B-JH is a powerful top drive for mobile and land drilling rigs of 160 - 200t lifting capacity. It allows building of fishbone gas&oil wells of up to 4000 meters depth (using drilling 144mm tubes) as quickly as possible. The top drive is equipped with an asynchronous frequency controlled electric motor of 420hp power. This allows drilling with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 180 rpm and with a working torque of up to 33 kNm.
