Russneft expands its resource base at the Verkhne-Shapshinskoye oil field in Khanty-Mansyisk Autonomous region

Russneft has been increasing its oil production capacity in Khanty-Mansyisk Autonomous region. Another production oil well has been built at the Verkhne-Shapshinskoye oil field. Its depth was more than 3990 meters. A drilling rig ZJ-40 equipped with a top drive DQ40B-JH was used for this purpose. A top drive field service support was provided by SLC service engineers working 24 hours 7 days a week with a drilling crew under service agreement with SSK drilling company.

The DQ40B-JH is a powerful top drive for mobile and land drilling rigs of 160 - 200t lifting capacity. It allows building of fishbone gas&oil wells of up to 4000 meters depth (using drilling 144mm tubes) as quickly as possible. The top drive is equipped with an asynchronous frequency controlled electric motor of 420hp power. This allows drilling with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 180 rpm and with a working torque of up to 33 kNm.
