A new gas well of more than 2100 meters depth was built on Pestsovoe gas field in Yamal-Nenetsk Autonomous region

A new horizontal ogas well of more than 2100 meters depth was built by Naftagaz-Burenie drilling company at Pestsovoe gasl field in Yamal-Nenetsk Autonomous region for Gazprom. A drilling rig Uralmash 3000 EUK equipped with a top drive DQ50B-JH was used for this purpose. A top drive field service support was provided by SLC service engineers working 24 hours 7 days a week with a drilling crew under service agreement with Naftagaz-Burenie company.

The DQ50B-JH as well as the DQ50BQ-JH is the most popular top drive model among drilling companies.  It allows to build fishbone wells of up to 5000 meters depth (using drilling 144mm tubes) as quickly as possible. The top drive is equipped with an asynchronous frequency controlled electric motor of 500hp power. This allows drilling with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 180 rpm and with a working torque of up to 40 kNm.
