Kurgan Region Governor Visits Kurgan Drilling Rigs Factory

On January 13^th 2021, the Kurgan region governor Vadim Shumkov visited the Kurgan Drilling Rigs factory which is a part of the SLC Group. The region’s head was introduced to the factory facilities and its range of products, including unique mobile drillings rigs with lifting capacity of 225 ton, well development and workover rigs with lifting capacity of 80 and 100 ton, as well as top drive systems maintained and repaired at the factory.

The factory management reported to the governor that in December 2020 the factory quality management system received a certificate of conformity to the GOST R ISO9001-2015 (ISO 9001:2015) after having successfully passed a wide-scale review for design, production and maintenance of drilling rigs and top drive systems. This further proves the highest level of production organization and quality management at the Kurgan Drilling Rigs factory.

Another issue discussed at the on-site conference organized by the governor’s office was the factory investment program. It is aimed at boosting production capacity for assembling heavy-class mobile drilling rigs and increasing its production output. Currently a new workshop is undergoing construction, and Vadim Shumkov has assured the factory workers of their support from the Kurgan region government. This move will create new jobs and boost the region’s budget and social programs.
