Using a top drive DQ40B-JH a new production oil well of more than 3150 meters depth was drilled in Orenburg region

A new controlled directional production oil well of more than 3150 meters depth was built in Vostochnoe oilfield in Orenburg region. A drilling rig ZJ-40 equipped with a top drive DQ40B-JH was used by Tatburneft professionals to build this oil well. A top drive aftermarket field service support was provided by SLC service engineers working 24 hours 7 days a week with a drilling crew under service agreement with Tatburneft company.

The DQ40B-JH as well as the DQ40BQ-JH is an optimal choice for using as with mobile drilling rigs and with fixed land drilling rigs. It allows to build fishbone oil wells of up to 4000 meters depth (using drilling 144mm tubes) as quickly as possible. The top drive is equipped with an asynchronous frequency controlled electric motor of 420hp power. This allows to drill with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 180 rpm and with a working torque of up to 33 kNm.
