A new production oil well of more than 5080 meters depth was built in Vostochno-Tarcosalinskoe oil field in Yamal-Nenetsk Autonomous region

A new horizontal production oil-well of more than 5080 meters depth was built by SSK drilling company in Vostochno-Tarcosalinskoe oil-field in Yamal-Nenetsk Autonomous region for Novatek company. A drilling rig Uralmash 5000/320 EK-BMCH equipped with a top drive DQ70BS-JH was used for this purpose. A top drive aftermarket field service support was provided by SLC service engineers working 24 hours 7 days a week with a drilling crew under service agreement with SSK company.

The DQ70BS-JH as well as the DQ70BSQ-JH is one of the high performance models of top drives and provides drilling of the wells up to 7000 meters deep (with a 114 mm drill pipe). The top drive is equipped with two asynchronous frequency controlled electric motors with a power of 422 hp each. This allows to perform drilling with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 220 rpm and with a working torque of up to 55 kNm.
