Kurgan Plant Begins Final Tests for BUK-200 Mobile Drilling Rig

The Kurgan Drilling Rigs factory has finished preparations for the final testing of its very own BUK-200 mobile drilling rig with lifting capacity of 200 ton. The rig and its drilling platform are deployed on a testing site equipped with a powerful hydraulic cylinder capable of loading the hook with over 310 ton. The testing is scheduled to begin on September 14. A 125% load – 250 ton will be applied to test all the rig’s units.

The BUK-200 mobile drilling rig is mounted onto an offroad chassis with a 14×14 wheelbase and has 5 pivoted axles, the rig is designed for drilling exploration and production oil and gas well, as well as for well overhauls and sidetracking. Its nominal drilling depth is 4000 m.

The BUK-200 mobile drilling rig’s release is planned for the beginning of 4th quarter 2020.
