A new controlled directional oil well of more than 3580 meters depth was built in Igolsko-Talovoe oil field in Tomsk region

A new controlled directional oil-well of more than 3580 meters depth was built by BSK GRAND drilling company in Igolsko-Talovoe oil-field in Tomsk region for Tomskneft company. It took about 18 days to drill it. A cluster drilling rig Uralmash 3000 EUK equipped  with a top drive DQ50BQ-JH was used for this purpose. A top drive aftermarket field service support  was provided by SLC service engineers working 24 hours 7 days a week with a drilling crew under service agreement with BSK GRAND company.

The DQ50BQ-JH as well as a DQ50B-JH is the most popular top drive model among drilling companies.  It allows to build fishbone wells of up to 5000 meters depth (using drilling 144mm tubes) as quickly as possible. The top drive is equipped with an asynchronous frequency controlled electric motor of 600hp power. This allows drilling with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 180 rpm and with a working torque of up to 48 kNm.
