Horizontal oil well for ROSNEFT company on Samotlorskoe oilfield

The new horizontal oil well was finished on Samotlorskoe oilfield for ROSNEFT company, at ambient temperature -42^oC, with the using of the top drive system DQ40B, which was set on the drilling rig ZJ-40 CZ. The well depth was more than 3400 m.

Performance of the top drive had the following maximum values:

• rotation speed 140 rpm/min;
• torque  22 kNm.
