A new controlled directional oil-well of more than 3470 m depth was built on Samotlorskoe oilfield in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug

A new controlled directional oil-well of more than 3470 m depth was built on Samotlorskoe oilfield in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug for ROSNEFT. A drilling rig "ZJ-40CZ" equipped  with a top drive system DQ40B was used for this purpose.

The top drive system had the following maximum operating parameters:

• rotation speed  - up to 150 rpm/min;
• torque  - up to 20 kNm.
