SIC NEDRA, ROSGEOLOGIA

SIC Nedra designs, constructs and conducts research on any types of wells; develops scientific and technical products in well construction and complex geological studies. The company has over 45 years of experience in drilling and exploring deep and super deep wells in sedimentary and crystalline layers. The company has completed over 100 kilometers of super deep wells in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, including the drilling depth world record – the Kolskaya well (12,262 m) and the deepest well in the sedimentary basins of Russia - Yen-Yakhinskaya (8,250 m).

SLC Group has a long-term partnership with the SIC Nedra. Currently the company operates the DQ50BQ-JH top drive is mounted on the F-400-3DX-Y rig, service support is provided by the SLC engineering and technical personnel. The DQ50BQ-JH top drive was used for drilling the Gydanskaya superdeep parametric well No. 130. This object bears strategical importance for the Russian Federation, the well is constructed in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the Eastern part of the Yamal-Gydan syneclise, in the Gydan oil and gas region. Designed depth of the well is 7,150 m; its construction is carried out in 3 stages.

Over the long history of cooperation there has not been a single failure in the DQ50BQ-JH top drive.
