Rosneft To Re-Equip SamaraNefteGaz Oil Fields Top Drive Drilling Rigs

The SamartaNefteGaz company, a subsidiary of the Rosneft oil company, has launched a wide-scale drilling rigs re-equipment program as a part of the Technical Re-equipment Plan issued by Rosneft. In total, 11 drillings rigs are to be re-equipped.

The SamaraNefteGaz drilling rigs re-equipment is due to the sharp increase in drilling operations over the last few years. In 2017, over 300 000 meters were drilled in total, and 132 oil wells were constructed, comparing to 106 wells in 2016.

The new drilling rigs meet every modern industry requirement – they are equipped with DQ40BQ-JH top drive systems by JH, a feed control regulator, and an enhanced crown block. The new drilling rigs will substantially increase drilling speed, decrease drilling time and cost, as well as improve the safety of work environment. Also, the new equipment will contribute to wider use of modern drilling technology and methods.
