A production oil well with a unique trajectory was built in the Zaikinsko-Zorinsky oil field in the Orenburg region

In the Zaikinsko-Zorinsky oil field (located in Orenburg region) the RN-Burenie company has built a unique production well. With a vertical depth of 680 meters, it has a horizontal deviation of 2 166 meters. This profile of the well is extremely effective when working on hard-to-reach and waterlogged areas.

A drilling rig ZJ-50DBS equipped  with the top drive DQ70BS-JH was used for this purpose. A non-stop top drive performance was provided by SLC service engineers working under agreement with RN-Burenie company.

DQ70BS-JH is one of the high performance models of top drives and provides drilling of the wells up to 7000 meters deep (with a 114 mm drill pipe). The top drive is equipped with two asynchronous frequency controlled electric motors with a power of 422 hp each. This allows to perform drilling with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 230 rpm and with a working torque of up to 55 kNm.
