A new controlled directional oil well of more than 3410 meters depth was built in Ust-Balykskoe oil field in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous region

A new controlled directional oil well of more than 3410 meters depth was built in Ust-Balykskoe oil field in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous region for ROSNEFT company. A drilling rig Uralmash 5000/320 EK-BMCH equipped  with a top drive DQ50B-JH  was used for this purpose. A non-stop top drive performance was provided by SLC service engineers working 24 hours a day 7 days a week with a drilling crew under service agreement with RN-Burenie  company.

The DQ50B-JH as well as DQ50BQ-JH is the most popular top drive model among drilling companies.  It allows to build fishbone oil-wells of up to 5000 meters depth (using drilling 144mm tubes) as quickly as possible. The top drive is equipped with an asynchronous frequency controlled electric motor of 500hp power. This allows to drill with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 180 rpm and with a working torque of up to 40 kNm.
