A new production oil well of more than 4370 meters depth was built for GAZPROM-NEFT company

A new horizontal side track oil well of more than 4370 meters depth was built in Romanovskoe oil field in Khanty-Mansyisk Autonomous region for GAZPROM-NEFT company. A drilling rig Uralmash 3000 EU-1MK equipped  with a top drive DQ40B-JH was used for this purpose. A non-stop top drive performance was provided by SLC service engineers working 24 hours a day 7 days a week with a drilling crew under service agreement with NaftaGaz-Burenie company.

DQ40B-JH allows to build oil wells of up to 4000 meters depth (using drilling 144mm tubes) as quickly as possible. The top drive is equipped with an asynchronous frequency controlled electric motor of  420hp power. This allows to drill with a smooth shaft speed changes in the range from 0 to 180 rpm and with a working torque of up to 33 kNm.
